Honda Jazz GD (First Generation)

The first ever Honda Jazz was first introduced in 2001 but the Honda Jazz GD was only launched in Malaysia in 2003. The Honda Jazz immediately became much-loved due to its spacious interior in contrast to its compact exterior. The Honda Jazz GD was launched in Malaysia in only one variant, a 1.3 litre i-DSI engine, and was fully imported from Japan. Honda Malaysia launched two additional variants in 2004 - the 1.5 litre i-DSI and 1.5 litre VTEC. Below are the Honda Jazz specifications according to variants:

Honda Jazz GE (Second Generation)

The second generation Honda Jazz GE was first introduced in 2007 but was only launched in Malaysia in 2008. The Honda Jazz GE was revamped from the first generation to be slightly larger in order to have more interior space. The Honda Jazz GE in Malaysia was only offered in one engine but came with two variants - the 1.5L S and 1.5L V and is only offered in 5-speed automatic transmission. Honda Jazz GK (Third Generation)

The third generation Honda Jazz GK was introduced in 2013 and made available in the Malaysia market in 2014. The Honda Jazz GK exterior has been significantly revampde and the interior and boot space has been increased as compared to the previous generations. The Honda Jazz GK comes in three variants - 1.5L S, 1.5L E and 1.5L V. Below are the Honda Jazz specifications:

The third generation Honda Jazz interior is somewhat similar to the Honda City with a few differences. All three variants of the Honda Jazz GK are equipped with black fabric upholstery, height-adjustable driver’s seat, Ultra seat and rear seat reclining. The multi information combination meter for the S variant uses amber illumination while the E and V variants use blue and white illumination. The Honda Jazz E and V variants come with smart entry with push start button, steering wheel switch audio control, power adjustable door mirrors and front seat back pockets, all of which are not available in the S variant. The Honda Jazz S and E variants come with manual air-conditioning while the V variant is fitted with a touch panel auto air-conditioning. The Honda Jazz V variant receives additional exclusive upgrades of centre console storage with armrest, leather steering wheel and gear knob and power retractable side door mirrors.

Honda Jazz Hybrid

The first Honda Jazz Hybrid was launched in Malaysia in 2012. The Honda Jazz Hybrid combines a 1.3 litre, i-VTEC engine with an electric motor known as the integrated motor assist (IMA) system, and is derived from the Honda Jazz GE. Below are the specifications of the 2012 Honda Jazz Hybrid.

The second Honda Jazz Hybrid was launched in Malaysia in 2017. The IMA system was replaced with the Intelligent Dual-Clutch Drive (i-DCD). The Honda Jazz Hybrid significantly reduces fuel consumption, at 25 km per litre as compared to the 17.3 km per litre on the petrol. The Honda Jazz Hybrid is only sold in a single variant and is similar to the Honda Jazz GK 1.5L E variant, with the addition of some hybrid-exclusive items such as information meter with hybrid displays, different gear selector and cruise control.
