The first Lamborghini Urus 4.0 was launched in Malaysia in 2018. Lamborghini Urus decided to do away with its signature engines and instead opted for turbocharging due to the desired function of the SUV, which includes off-road conditions. The Lamborghini Urus Performante was launched in 2022 and is the more powerful version of the Lamborghini Urus. The Lamborghini Urus Performante uses the same engine as the Lamborghini Urus S, but is able to achieve a 0-100 km/h sprint in only 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 305 km/h. This is made possible by its lighter build, as the Lamborghini Urus Performante parts such as the front bonnet, air vents, front bumper, splitter, wheel arches, rear bumper and diffusers are made of carbon-fiber. The Lamborghini Urus interior is also fitted with carbon-fiber and Alcantara materials to maintain the lightweightedness of the Urus Performante.
