XE30 Lexus IS 2013

The third generation Lexus IS was launched in 2013, of which one of the variants include the Lexus IS300h, a hybrid variant. The Lexus IS300 is powered by a Lexus Hybrid Drive system and features hidden tailpipes and LED headlamps for its exterior. The Lexus IS300h is also fitted with a 15-speaker ICE system with DVD, MP3 and WMA, two USB points and AUX jack.

The Lexus IS300h received a facelift in 2016 and launched in Malaysia in 2017. Some changes in the Lexus IS300h facelift include a more aggressive front end with large air intakes, re-designed Lexus spindle grille and re-designed LED headlamps and taillamps. The Lexus IS300h interior now features a 10.3-inch multimedia display screen, refined audio and AC control panel, new cupholders and  leather-wrapped palm rest with stitching.

In 2018, all Lexus 200t cars were renamed to 300, including the Lexus IS200t. The re-named Lexus IS300 is the 2017 facelifted version of the 2013 Lexus IS. The exterior and interior of the Lexus IS300 is the same as the facelifted Lexus IS300h, but is instead powered by a 2.0 litre turbo-charged engine which produces a maximum output of 241 hp at 5,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm from 1,650 to 4,400 rpm. The Lexus IS300 comes in three trim levels - Lexus IS300 Premium, Lexus IS300 Luxury and Lexus IS300 F Sport.

Fourth Generation Lexus IS 2021

The fourth generation Lexus IS was launched in 2021 which included the Lexus IS300 as a variant. The Lexus IS300 2021 is not available in Malaysia as Lexus Malaysia has decided to discontinue the series due to higher demand for SUVs. The Lexus IS300 exterior features a newly designed three-dimensional spindle grille while the Lexus IS300 interior is fitted with a 10.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa connectivity available.
