GIIAS 2015: Mazda 2 SkyActiv Limited Edition Pops Up In Indonesia

In wanting to keep some its line-up a surprise for visitors of the 2015 Gaikindo Indonesia International Motor Show, Mazda has rolled out its Mazda 2 Limited Edition for the country.

Taking a cue the Mazda 3 Racing Series LE we saw earlier this year, the Mazda 2 LE car will be limited to just 200 hatchback units, and features cosmetic to spice up the little B-segmenter’s appeal further.

Nothing Zoomier than the expected Zoom-Zoom affair here, because apart from the contrasting accents, minor bodykit additions and sporty stickers, the Mazda 2 sports no performance-gaining changes, leaving the Indonesian-spec car pretty much identical to ours: 1.5-litre SkyActiv-G petrol engine, paired with a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

Notably, the Indonesian-market Mazda 2 gets the coveted LED projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights. Only two body colours will be available: a Snowflake White Pearl with matching interior upholstery, and Soul Red Metallic with a darker interior.

Carlist.my's Gerard Lye just picked up a Mazda 2 SkyActiv himself lately, and will be properly crossed to find out that Indonesia gets these Limited Edition models. Hopefully for him, and for the rest of the fans of the compact B-seg hatch, Bermaz sees fit for these variants to come on over to Malaysia, or at least be made optional kit for them.
