Lexus To Debut All-New RX At 2015 New York Auto Show

At the 2015 New York Auto Show, Lexus will debut its all-new, fourth-generation Lexus RX. As a build-up to the global reveal, the company has released this teaser image that shows a rear three quarter view of the SUV.

First thing to note is the C-pillar, where the side-glass has been extended through, creating a “floating look” for the RX. The tail lights look a lot like the current crop of GS and IS sedans and the flared wheel arches also project a more dynamic exterior as well.

With the introduction of the Lexus NX, expect the all-new RX to adopt a few of the company’s newer design cues, which include the trademark spindle grille at the front. Also, with the NX now occupying the small SUV segment, this will allow the RX to grow in size to take on the competition within the large SUV segment, namely the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class, and Audi Q5.
