Information at our disposal is rather cloudy, although Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) is already beginning to seed interest in a specifically-designed microsite accessible through the company’s official website. Reliable sources have revealed to us that new E-Class will launch as a fully-imported model, although the vehicle will be locally assembled for the long term. Globally, Mercedes-Benz offers a wide range of petrol and diesel engines of various capacities and output. Our speculation is that MBM will start off the offensive with the four-cylinder petrol models powered by the company’s M274 2.0-litre turbo engine powering the E 200 (184hp), E 250 (211hp), and may be even E 300 (252hp).
