MINI Malaysia Introduces the MINI 60 Years Edition – Limited To 60 Units, RM255,888

In conjunction with the 60th anniversary of the brand, MINI Malaysia has introduced a limited-run, commemorative model dubbed the 60 Year Edition.

Limited to only 60 units in Malaysia and based exclusively on the MINI Cooper S 3-door variant, the 60 Years Edition is offered in the company's New British Racing Green colour with Pepper White roof and mirror caps. Alternatively, the exclusive model will also be available in ‘Melting Silver’ with Jet Black roof and mirror caps. Signature black bonnet stripes with Aspen White and British Oak pinstripes further underline the MINI 60 Years Edition’s exclusivity.

The 60 Years Edition also enlists additional exclusive features such as unique Bonnet Stripes, Logo Projection system, and door sills, as well as a Walknappa leather steering wheel, Dark Maroon interior, and the exclusive “60 Years Spoke 2-tone” 17-inch light-alloy wheels wrapped with run-flat tyres.

Additionally, the 60 Years Chili equipment package adds LED headlights, LED fog lamps, white turn indicators, and LED rear lights in the Union Jack design. Note too, that the MINI 60 Years Edition carries the Excitement Package’s selectable ambient lighting and MINI Connected’s suite of functions.

Under the hood, the 60 Years Edition features the same 2.0-litre four-cylinder MINI TwinPower Turbo engine found in the Cooper S variant. The engine develops 192hp and a peak torque of 280Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed double-clutch transmission.

Performance is brisk, to say the least with a 6.7 second 0-100 km/h sprint time and a top speed of 235 km/h.

The retail price (on the road for personal registration, without insurance) of the MINI 60 Years Edition is RM 255,888. In conjunction with MINI’s 60th anniversary, owners who purchase the MINI 60 Years Edition from now to 31st August 2019 are also entitled to the 60 Months MINI Service + Repair Inclusive programme.

The offer provides owners with 60 months or 80,000km (whichever comes first) of Free Scheduled Service and 60 months of Warranty with Unlimited Mileage. For purchases after 31st August 2019, the MINI 60 Years Edition will be available with the MINI 4 Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service.
