While not being the biggest launch this week, Korean car fans can be happy that Naza Kia has just announced their new enhanced Optima EX, which goes on sale for RM 139,888, on-the-road, without insurance. It's an improvement on an existing variant in the Optima range, complementing the existing Optima GT.
What does your money get you? In a nutshell, the Optima EX gets a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre engine and a six-speed automatic gearbox. Where the "new" part comes in is with the upgraded features, most specifically the Around View Monitor system that provides a birds-eye view of the car.
17-inch wheels also come as standard, as do LED headlamps, fog lamps, and rear combination lamps. The overall look has been tweaked for a little more masculinity in place of elegance, while the inside sees power memory electric seats for the driver, an electric parking brake, a large 7.0-inch colour screen display, as well as both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
Colours available for the Optima EX include, but are not limited to, Aurora Black Pearl, Snow White Pearl, and Platinum Graphite. The interior is largely black, with black fabric for the seats to boot. While it may not be the luxurious variant, the Optima EX presents a great value-for-money proposition.
