To sweeten the deal, the first 50 customers in Malaysia to book the Forester will be given an all-expense paid trip to Bangkok in December to take a tour of the plant where the Forester is built. The plant in question is fairly advanced and up to date, with stringent quality control procedures and even an in-house test track.What this means is that the all-new Forester will also be a CBU (fully imported) model from Thailand. Since the model's introduction in Thailand at the end of 2018, it has seen a record number of bookings in its local market. It also happened to be the first model to be assembled at that particular Subaru plant - one that happens to be owned by Tan Chong itself.
