My car follow my family went to Melaka, KL, Genting, Penang, Kedah, Singapore for pass 9y. So far kena 5 times accident, it save my life. 2 times used for airbag. overall i only send for 1 major

So far kena 5 times accident, it save my life. 2 times used for airbag. overall i only send for 1 major repair cost me rm1600 otherwide only normal service every 10,000km cost rm100~150. major service every 60,000km ar rm600~800 yearly insurance and roadtax about rm1000++ each fuel rm70 can run 450~500km very satify about this car. Now will planning repaint, touch up keep it for my father go breakfast. 收起

In my personal opinion, I'd say not much expenses on the maintenance wise for this car (except the usual ones like tire changes etc), it has been surprisingly reliable since the day I have bought it.

In my personal opinion, I'd say not much expenses on the maintenance wise for this car (except the usual ones like tire changes etc), it has been surprisingly reliable since the day I have bought it. Did not regret choosing this as my first car and it is pretty much affordable to own as a first car. Although sometimes I did wish that I have a Bluetooth connection to the audio system as this car is manufactured in the earlier years where Bluetooth audio connection was not a common feature as compared to what are being offered nowadays. I can only choose from which radio stations I wish to listen to. Performance wise, I have nothing much to complain about after knowing the specs that comes with this car. As it is a pretty compact car, it is one of those nice cars to have to zip around the KL cities and makes changing lanes conveniently easy. Sometimes on the highway, I do wish the car can go faster, especially when it is going uphill but I know that I should not be expecting much from a 1.5L car without turbo. :D However on a straight road highway, if you have got it on a constant manageable speed, it can be fast too. And then you will see a significant reduction from the fuel gauge haha. As this car is somewhat heavier than a Toyota Vios (I know as we have one in the hosehold) despite the size, it will be slower than Vios if you pit these two cars together. However I feel pretty much safer to be driving at a higher speed in Swift than I would in Vios from the stability viewpoint. So that will also mean that the Vios is more fuel efficient than the Swift. The boot size if pretty much manageable for a single or double passengers but of course, we will not be using my car for a family trips. So all in all, I think that this car will not bring lots of disappointments or headaches to its owners else it would not be elected as RJC Car of the Year 2011 (that same year that I have purchased it!). ;) On a last note, this model was the last of the 1.5L manufactured (second generation) before Suzuki opted for 1.4L for the third generation. So this car has a pretty good resale value as well, apart from being a rather reliable and low maintenance car. Ps. Well the car perform great and powerful not to mention super stable as well. The only complaint I have the the lack of drink holder, legroom, compartment and the air conditioning. When the vehicle is on idle the air conditioning is not as cold when you are driving. Cup holder and compartment is way too little and and there is only 2 cup holder on front passenger and driver seat and the back seat only have 1 on the center but once you install an armrest on is pretty much non existent. The car is great for small amount of people to travel with. Petrol is the same as every 1.5cc car and I feel like the petrol tank is slightly bigger than the Honda City (2009 onwards) other than that petrol consumption for short destinations is a bummer as it takes more petrol and slightly further travel saves more but is a bit scary when you see how fast the petrol drop after half a tank. If you are one of the people who loves the auto lock feature is definitely not on the swift. I would suggest to change car music player as it does not have any USB, Auxiliary, and Bluetooth feature on the default car music player. For sound system I would suggest change it unless you are fine with the default speakers that comes with the vehicle. The car body shape is fat and quite low which explain how stable it is to drive fast (not recommended) the side mirror has the retractable function which is great but the side mirror is also pretty small which it does not give out much of coverage but once you get used to it is pretty much fine. Dashboard is very plasticky and again lack of compartment is a huge downside even Myvi has more compartment than Swift. The best car for interior compartment is Honda. But I do like the flat dashboard where you can place dashboard mat for your phone holder or anything that you like which is a huge plus. The brake on this vehicle is really weird and quite sensitive. Because of this it makes me kind of jerk breaking (if that is the right term) which is not fun at all and you probably will be making enemies on the road. Boot space is as expected which is small but that makes up for the safety and toughness of the car. It would be better if the make the vehicle slightly longer and wider. To sum it up, the vehicle has a lot of good in terms of performance and safety, in terms of space, and compartment is a bummer and maybe petrol depending on how you sees it. Other than that is pretty much an excellent car to have to run around for singles or three people anything more than that is going to cramp up space in the back seat. 收起
