Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off the updated 2019 Mercedes-AMG C43 Sedan at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.

Dubbed ‘the baby AMG’, the big news with the C43 is that it gets a significant increase in power.

The 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine now kicks out 385 hp, which is 23 hp more than before, and a maximum torque of 520 Nm.

Paired to the engine is the 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic gearbox with 9G Speedshift, which is actually a slightly more aggressive version of the gearbox.

Thanks to the powertrain package, the C43 can do the century sprint in 4.6 seconds and achieve an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h.

The car also has a new driving mode called the “Slippery” mode, on top of the existing Dynamic Select modes - “Comfort,” “Sport,” “Sport+,” and “Individual”.

Outside, the C43 now features a redesigned AMG radiator grille with twin louvers in matte iridium silver, as well as side air curtains in the front bumper, and a silver chrome front splitter up front.

As for the rear, additions include a thin spoiler lip on the trunk lid, chromed twin exhaust tips, and a rear bumper diffuser.

Inside, key features include a new Nappa leather AMG steering wheel, black Dinamica microfiber trim with red stitching, Natural Grain Black Ash Wood and Brushed Aluminum trim, red seatbelts, and a 10.25-inch media display.

That being said, the new Mercedes-AMG C43 AMG is expected to be arriving in showrooms around the world next year.
