Toyota Hilux 2.8L Black Edition Previewed At Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair 2019 – RM139,888
Berita KeretaUMW Toyota Motor has unveiled the Toyota Hilux 2.8L Black Edition for the first time at the ongoing Carlist.my Drive Auto Fair 2019.
The Black Edition replaces the previous 2.8L L-Edition variant as the new flagship of the Hilux range and adds a number of aesthetic highlights and additional standard equipment over the 2.4L L-Edition variant.
Under the hood is the (1GD-FTV) 2.8-litre turbodiesel that develops 130 PS and 450 Nm between 1,600 rpm and 2,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The drivetrain remains unchanged from the previously available 2.8L L-Edition.
In terms of aesthetics, the Black Edition features a gloss black front grille which is contrasted by a dark grey grille surround, along the flanks, gloss-black 18-inch alloy wheels are complemented by wheelarch over-fenders. The Black Edition also features decals on the sides of the truckbed.
On the inside, the audio system features a 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
In terms of equipment, the Hilux adds the following equipment as standard:
- Automatic LED projector headlamps with Follow-Me-Home function
- LED DRLs
- LED foglamps (front), rear foglamps
- Power adjustable wing mirror with turn signal
- Optitron meter illumination with 4.2-inch TFT Colour display
- Auto air-conditioning with rear air-con vents
- Cruise Control
- Digital video recorder
Another notable highlight of the Black Edition is the inclusion of the Downhill Assist Control (DAC) as standard.
