New Hyundai Grand Starex Facelift, To Be Previewed At KLIMS?

Auto News

The outgoing Hyundai Grand Starex is expected to be replaced by a new facelifted model real soon, as a Hyundai dealer recently posted photos of the new facelifted model on their page.

The current Starex sells for RM154,888 (on-the-road, without insurance, and 0% GST), we expect the new model to be priced more or less within the same range.

To recap, this facelift was introduced in Korea back in late-2017, bringing with it a redesigned front end featuring the company's Cascading Grille, new headlights and a new lower air intake. The Korean-market model also gets a revised tail light design, though this may not be the case for the Malaysia-bound units. Additionally, the photos also show us that the wheel design has remained unchanged from the outgoing model.

A 2.5-litre turbocharged commonrail diesel mill that churns out 168 hp and 392 Nm comes as standard, paired to a 5-speed automatic that sends power to the rear wheels. Also standard is the 11-people seating capacity.
