Paul Walker’s Daughter Is Suing Porsche Over Her Father’s Death

Auto News

In one of many legal actions to surely be leveled against companies under the Volkswagen Group, Paul Walker’s teen daughter Meadow has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche following the actor’s death in 2013 in one of their cars.

This comes nearly two years after the actor’s passing, and 16-year old Meadow’s lawyers are claiming faulty mechanics are to blame as an official autopsy declared he was not killed by the impact of the accident.

Star of the Fast & Furious film series, Walker was passenger in red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT when his friend, Roger Rodas, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete lamppost and two trees, whereupon the car burst into flames.

According to legal documents procured by TMZ, the lawyers are alleging that the actor was injured in his ribs and pelvis by the car’s seatbelt, trapping him in the passenger seat.

Further, they claim the fire was due to defective fuel lines and side door reinforcements after citing the car’s “history of instability and control issues”.

In 2014, Roger Rodas’ wife filed a similar lawsuit against Porsche North America for wrongful death and negligence.
