Stoned BMW Workers Disrupt Production In Munich

Auto News

Two production line workers at BMW's facility in Munich collapsed from substance abuse and caused the company nearly a million Euros in losses.

The incident happened on 3 March 2017, in which a report from Bild mentioned that two assembly line workers collapsed towards the end of their shift. Medical personnel was called to the scene.

According to the report, both of the workers had consumed substantial amounts of alcohol and one of them was under the influence of a synthetic drug.

This delay caused BMW a financial loss "in the five digits", though Bild reckons that the company actually suffered a loss of upwards 1 million Euros.

One of the workers was fired on the spot, while the other was relocated.
