The 100,000th Honda Jazz In Malaysia Finds A Home

Auto News

Milestones are always exciting. Honda Malaysia has a rather special one to announce, as they hit the 100,000 unit mark in Malaysia for the third generation of their Jazz compact hatchback. At an official handover ceremony held at Ban Lee Heng Motor Sdn Bhd, Mr Kevin received the keys to his brand new car, which also came with the complete Protection Package free of charge. The specific package includes ultra body coating, ultra window coating, and wheel lock nuts - and will be available from all Honda dealerships starting from the 1st of July.

Historically, the Jazz has always managed to stir up impressive sales figures. Even the first generation Jazz, introduced to a market that generally avoids hatchbacks, proved successful with 18,000 fully-imported units sold. The second generation Jazz became a hit when the locally-assembled (CKD) models were introduced, with over 80,000 units sold across petrol and hybrid variants.

Next year will see the introduction of a fourth generation Jazz to the world, and it's incredible how quickly time flies. For many, the second generation Jazz is still a shape that's fresh in their memories, while the third generation models have aged well and remain eye catching to this day. The current generation model is offered with either a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with a CVT-type automatic, or a 1.5-litre hybrid petrol powertrain with a dual clutch transmission.
