All-New 2016 Hyundai Elantra Interior Teased

Auto News

Fresh after Hyundai dropped a teaser image of the all-new Elantra, the Korean carmaker has followed it up by releasing the first interior photo of the sedan ahead of its world debut.

The cabin of the Elantra reveals a minimalistic approach to its design, similar to that of its larger D-segment sibling, the Sonata. However, the Elantra adopts a three-spoke steering wheel and has its gear lever positioned slightly higher.

Aside from that, we see a significant decrease in the amount of buttons and switches as well, redesigned air-conditioning vents, and a large display situated in the centre console.

We’ll have to wait till Hyundai releases more information on the all-new Elantra but rumour has it the car will be powered by a 1.6-litre T-GDi engine with 175hp on tap, mated to a new seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Expect the car to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
