Auto News

Only about a month ago Lamborghini revealed the Aventador S Roadster at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, yet there is already a special edition version of the supercar.

Designed to commemorate Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary in Japan, the Aventador S Roadster 50th Anniversary Japan was unveiled yesterday at the Lamborghini Day 2017 event which was held in Tokyo.

Limited to only 5 units, each of the limited edition model will be a one-off; representing five elements - earth, wind, fire, water, and sky.

While only the ‘water’ version was revealed in Tokyo during the brand’s 50th anniversary celebrations, the remaining four will follow within coming months.

The model was developed by the creative designers of Lamborghini Centro Stile, who along with the Ad Personam department developed a unique paint for each model with special shading effects in which, in the case of the “water” version, the blue tends to black.

According to Lamborghini, the project required 170 hours of labor and the contribution of ten specialists.

Coming back to the car itself, exterior highlights include the windscreen frame and hard top made of exposed carbon fiber, a unique paint job, a special emblem, as well as bespoke wheels.

Inside, the car gets Nero Ade black leather and Nero Cosmus black Alcantara, with special Japanese font stitching on the seats matching the color of the exterior.

Each car is also characterised by a hexagonal carbon fiber plate with the Japanese symbol of its elemental namesake.
