Auto News

In the video, we see a drive-by alongside the mysterious Toyota vehicle which sports a similar hatchback design which is highly reminiscent of the Prius. According to Prius Chat member savior1974, the vehicle was spotted at a fuel station in Baker, CA during a drive between Las Vegas and California.13168-2015-spyshot-video-all-new-prius-1.jpg

You may recall that Toyota recently introduced its new TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform that will underpin a new midsize front-wheel-drive vehicle later this year with other vehicles following suit. The reveal of the platform also pointed at multiple references to an all-new hybrid powertrain.

Even though the camouflaged vehicle sports lines that look a lot like a Prius, Autoblog points out that the black electrical-tape-like camo isn’t the sort typically used for vehicle testing by the Toyota Technical Center, the engineering and research arm of Toyota Engineering and Manufacturing of America (TEMA).

At this time, Toyota have not officially confirmed when it will reveal the all-new Toyota Prius but it is highly expected to present its final design come the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show later this year.
