所有资讯

Geely has launched its all-new Binrui sedan at the 2018 Chengdu Auto Show. The all-new model was first announced back in August.

Power for the all-new Binrui comes from two powertrains:

  • G-Power 200T: 134 hp, 205 Nm
  • G-Power 14T: 131 hp, 215 Nm

The G-Power 200T is a 1.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection 3-cylinder petrol engine. This particular engine is hooked up to a Getrag-sourced 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The other powertrain option for the Binrui is the G-Power 14T, which is a 1.4-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine. The G-Power 14T can be had with a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT-type automatic with 8 virtual ratios.

Underneath is Geely’s newest BMA platform, shared with the Binyue compact crossover. Length of the all-new Binrui comes in at 4,680 mm long, 1,785 mm wide, and 1,460 mm tall. Wheelbase of the new model is 2,670 mm, 30 mm shorter than rivals like the Honda Civic, Hyundai Elantra, Mazda 3, and Toyota Corolla Altis.

Safety is a big selling point for the all-new Binrui, as it can be had with a range of active and passive safety equipment, including:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (Intelligent Cruise Control)
  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA)
  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
  • Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian detection (AEB-P)
  • Speed Limit Information System (SLIF)
  • Intelligent High Beam Control (IHBC)
  • Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)

Additionally, the all-new Binrui's body structure is made out of over 70% high strength steel. Combined with the list of active and passive safety equipment, Geely is confident that the new Binrui can secure a 5 star crash test rating.

Another highlight of the Binrui is the infotainment system, which features the Geely Smart Ecosystem (GKUI). The infotainment system features a large 10.25-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 1920 x 720 and features 4G internet connectivity with WiFi hotspot, on-board navigation, smartphone app connectivity, and voice control.

Prices start from CNY 79,800 (~RM 48,335) for the base Binrui, which climbs all the way to CNY 110,800 (~RM 67,111) for the range-topping model.

Geely also added that this new model is the first of the 'Bin' (缤) family. The next model is expected to be the Binyue compact crossover. China is currently the Binrui's first market, though Geely plans to introduce the new model globally later on.

At launch, Geely is offering 7 variants of the Binrui. More variants could be introduced at a later date, as recent spyshots have indicated that the company could be launching a PHEV variant in the future.
