Sime Darby Auto ConneXion Ford has expanded the Ford Ranger line-up in Malaysia with the introduction of the new Ranger Platinum, Ranger Sport 3.0, Ranger Sport 2.0, as well as the updated Ranger XL 2.0.

Headlining the expanded range are two V6-powered variants, the new Ranger Platinum and Ranger Sport 3.0, while the updated Ranger XL continues to serve as the entry point into the Ranger family.

Ford Ranger Platinum 3.0 (RM 205,888)

Sitting at the top of the range is the new Ranger Platinum, priced at RM 205,888 (on-the-road without insurance).

Power comes from Ford's 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel engine, producing 250 PS and 600 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system.

On the outside, the Platinum is distinguished by its exclusive chrome-accented Platinum grille, Matrix LED headlamps with signature C-clamp daytime running lights, as well as 20-inch machine-faced alloy wheels.

Other highlights include swing-in-place roof rails, Ford's Flexible Rack System with Cargo Management System, plus an exclusive Acacia Green exterior finish.

Inside, the flagship model receives quilted leather-accented seats with Platinum embossing, heated and ventilated front seats with 10-way power adjustment, a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, and ambient lighting.

Also included are a 12-inch SYNC 4A touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, dual-zone automatic climate control, and an eight-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system.

Besides the exclusive Acacia Green, the Ranger Platinum is also available in Meteor Grey and Absolute Black.

Ford Ranger Sport 3.0 (RM 159,888) & Ranger Sport 2.0 (RM 145,888)

If you prefer a Ranger that's more balanced and versatile, the Ranger Sport is now available with two engine options - a 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel and a 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel.

Priced at RM 159,888, the Ranger Sport 3.0 adopts the same 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel found in the Platinum, delivering 250 PS and 600 Nm through a 10-speed automatic transmission and a full-time four-wheel drive system.

Meanwhile, the RM 145,888 Ranger Sport 2.0 is powered by a 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine producing 170 PS and 405 Nm, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and a part-time four-wheel drive system.

Shared exterior highlights include a sporty black grille, LED headlamps with C-clamp daytime running lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, side steps, and a sports bar.

Inside, both variants feature sporty two-tone seats, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12-inch SYNC 4A touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, and multiple drive modes.

Both Ranger Sport variants are available in Lightning Blue and Absolute Black. The Sport 3.0 is also offered in Command Grey, while the Sport 2.0 adds Meteor Grey and Arctic White to its colour palette.

Updated Ford Ranger XL 2.0 (RM 127,888)

The updated Ranger XL remains the most affordable model in the line-up at RM 127,888, targeting commercial users, fleet operators and businesses looking for a dependable workhorse.

It continues to be powered by a 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine producing 170 PS and 405 Nm, now paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission in place of the previous six-speed automatic, along with a part-time four-wheel drive system.

Exterior highlights include a bold front fascia, black grille, halogen headlamps, rear box step, and 16-inch steel wheels. It also retains a maximum payload of up to 1,000 kg and a braked towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg.

As part of its launch campaign, customers who purchase the Ranger Platinum 3.0 or Ranger Sport 3.0 and register their vehicles by 31 August 2026 will receive a complimentary two-year Basic Extended Service Plan (ESP).
