Utama Berita Berita Kereta New Porsche Macan SportDesign Series Introduced – Limited To 40 Units, RM545k New Porsche Macan SportDesign Series Introduced – Limited To 40 Units, RM545k Berita Kereta Arvind | December 13, 2017 10:58 PM Local Porsche distributor Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has introduced the limited edition of the Macan SUV, dubbed the SportDesign Series, which adds a host of standard features to the base Macan variant, which is meant to underscore a sportier appearance for Porsche’s junior SUV.Priced at RM545,000, the Macan SportDesign slots between the Macan and Macan S models, which start off at RM425,000 and RM610,000 respectively. Limited to just 40 units, the Porsche Macan SportDesign is available in two colours - Volcano Grey Metallic and Carrara White Metallic which is spiced up with silver and red accents on the front hood.In terms of the powertrain, the Macan SportDesign, like the base model Macan, is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that outputs 252 PS between 5,000 - 6,800 rpm 370 Nm of torque between 1,600 - 4,500 rpm. Power is sent to all-four wheels through 7-speed double-clutch gearbox.Aesthetically, the SportDesign package includes an aggressive looking front apron, painted side skirts and a rear apron. Red highlights also feature on the rear apron and roof spoiler. The keenest of Porsche-philes will also notice the SportDesign side mirror support which is a "double-spoked" item.Two wheels options are offered - the 911 Turbo Wheel multi-spoke or the retrospective Sport Classic Wheel, a forged one-piece alloy wheel finished in gloss black, both wheel options are 21-inches in size.On the inside, the SportDesign series is trimmed in a Black and Garnet red combination leather. The Garnet Red colour scheme is also used in other interior elements, such as the contrasting topstitching, seat belts, instrument cluster enclosure and Sport Chrono stopwatch. A 545-watt, 14-speaker Bose Surround sound system is also included in the SportDesign series. Up top, the panoramic roof option has also been ticked in the SportDesign Macan.Another highlight is the fitment of air-suspension with ride-height adjustment as standard, augmented by the acclaimed Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM).
