Tamiya 1/8 RC Dancing Rider Will Provide Hours Of Fun

At the upcoming Tamiya Fair 2017, the company will be introducing a slew of new products, including this cool 1/8 Dancing Rider.

Built on Tamiya’s T3-01 platform, the Dancing Rider features two chassis section – the front houses the battery and RC equipment, while the rear holds the electronic speed controller (ESC), motor and gear case. Speaking of motor, Tamiya recommends a brushed 370-type motor to be used in the Dancing Rider, though a 380-type motor is included in the box.

Telescopic front fork suspension is utilized up front with integrated coil spring, while the rear cam slide suspension also houses built-in coil spring which can be adjusted via a screw. Planetary differential gear set is integrated into the rear axle. In order to keep the centre-of-gravity low, Tamiya has positioned the battery as low as possible. A support arm is also fitted, which allows the Dancing Rider to return upright if it tips over.

Assembly is required for the Tamiya Dancing Rider. Furthermore, one is required to source their own transmitter and receiver, steering servo plus battery and charger.

From the video released by Tamiya, the Dancing Rider is able to simulate an actual trike, leaning in turns in addition to being rear wheel drive. Elsewhere, a driver figure is also included, though owners need to paint the lexan body separately.

The MSRP for the Tamiya will be announced at a later date.
