BMW F10

The BMW M5 F10 is the fifth generation of the M5 series and is part of the sixth generation BMW 5 Series which was launched in 2011. The F10 M5 is the first-ever M5 to be fitted with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine. The M5 F10 was launched in Malaysia in 2012. The BMW M5 exterior features 19-inch multi-spoke wheels, six-pot brake calipers in blue, bootlid spoiler, quad tailpipes while the interior features Aluminium Trace trim as standard.

The facelifted F10 BMW M5 was launched in 2013. Upgrades in the facelift includes a new double-line kidney grille, re-designed headlamps, larger armrest storage compartment, chrome-trimmed iDrive display and slimmer M steering wheel. The M5 was also introduced in with a Competition Package, where the F10 BMW M5 Competition sports increased power of 575 hp from 6,000 to 7,000 rpm while maximum torque is at 680 Nm from 1,500 to 6,000 rpm. The BMW M5 4.4 also includes stiffer suspension, dampers and stabiliser bars, lowered ride height, 20-inch wheels and exhaust tips in black chrome finishing.

BMW F90

The BMW M5 F90 is the sixth generation and was launched in Malaysia in 2018. The F90 M5 exterior features BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line, M Compound Brakes with blue calipers, rear spoiler, M front bumper trim with large air intakes, side skirts and rear diffuser, 20-inch M light-alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, LED tail lights and rain sensor wipers. The BMW M5 interior features BMW Individual headliner in Alcantara anthracite, illuminated door sill strips with M5 lettering, Aluminium Carbon with Dark Chrome highlight trim, M leather steering wheel, M multi-function seats for front seats, M-specific multi-function instrument display, ambient lighting, four-zone automatic air-conditioning, contactless tailgat opening feature, electric roller sunblinds for rear windows, red started button and electric seat adjustment with memory function for driver.

The facelifted BMW M5 F90 was launched in Malaysia in 2022 in both the M5 and M5 Competition form. The facelifted F90 M5 upgrades include a front conjoined kidney grille, slimmer LED headlamps with L-shaped daytime running lights, re-designed front bumper, re-designed tail lights and re-shaped rear bumper. The BMW M5 interior has been upgraded with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The BMW M5 Competition adds on Laserlight headlamps, M Driver’s Package, Y-spoke bicolour wheels, M sports exhaust system and M seat belts.
