Audi TT Mk1

The first generation Audi TT, the Audi TT Mk1, was first launched as the Audi TT Coupe in 1998 and was followed by the Audi TT roadster in 1999. The Audi TT Mk1 was wrapped up in controversies surrounding fatal accidents due to aerodynamic instability at very high speeds. Audi made a major recall in 1999 and added their Electronic Stability Programme/Anti Slip Regulation, a rear spoiler and modifications to the suspension system to improve the safety of the Audi TT. Audi launched a Coupe-only limited edition in 2005 in the Audi TT quattro Sport form. 

Audi TT Mk2

The Audi TT Mk2 was the second generation of the Audi TT to be launched in 2006, and is the most popular and favourite Audi TT. The Audi TT Mk2 was also offered in the 1.8L and 2.0L engine form. The second generation Audi TT also saw the introduction of the Audi TT S Line, an Audi TT fitted with an additional package consisting of a special body kit which includes a rear spoiler and Alcantara sports seats. The Audi TTS, the sports edition of the Audi TT, was introduced in 2008 and could accelerate from 0-100 km/h in mere 5.2 seconds. In 2009, The Audi TT RS was introduced and was made to be the high-performance version of the Audi TT, with only 4.5 seconds needed to sprint from 0-100 km/h.

Audi TT Mk3

The third and latest generation, the Audi TT Mk3, was launched in 2014 and its design is similar to the Audi Sport Quattro concept. The Audi TT exterior features a broad and flat hexagonal grille and LED or Matrix LED headlights, where the Matrix LED headlights has a dynamic turn signal feature. The Audi TTS is fitted with larger air intakes, a pronounced kink on the side sills, silver side mirrors and a more aggressive rear diffuser design with quad tailpipes. The Audi TT interior is fitted with a 12.3-icnh TFT LCD Audi virtual cockpit, circular air vents with the air-conditioning system controls incorporated, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and lower front seats with integrated headrests. The Audi TTS receives sport seats as standard. The Audi TT Mk3 is significantly lighter than its predecessor, with the Audi TT 2.0 TFSI weighing 50 kg lighter than the previous model.
