Mercedes-AMG G63 2002

The first-ever Mercedes-AMG G63 was produced in 2002 in only five units and was the first-ever G-Class to be fitted with a V12 engine. The Mercedes-AMG G63 2002 was able to produce a maximum output of 437 hp and propel from 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds. 

Mercedes-AMG G63 2012

The Mercedes-AMG G63 2012 was equipped with a 5.5 litre biturbo V8 engine which resulted in better fuel consumption and lower emissions. Mercedes also gave the AMG G63 a more AMG-like appearance, such as a single horizontal fin with twin chrome edges in the middle of the radiator grille, light-alloy wheel design, enlarged airflow inlets, vertical chrome strips and rear view mirrors for the exterior.

The Mercedes-AMG G63 received a facelift in 2015 and featured mild enhancements. The AMG G63 was made available in five colours - solar beam, tomato red, alien green, sunset beam and galactic beam. The G-Wagon interior is fitted with a dashboard grab handle on the passenger side, centre console buttons, circular air vents, 12.3-inch Widescreen Cockpit flatscreen panel, ambient lighting, driver’s seat memory function, Dynamic Select system with four driving modes, black and red Nappa leather upholstery with red stitching, red carbon fibre trim, red seat belts and microfibre steering wheel.
