The 2017 Mazda 6 is sold here in four variants and three engine choices. The 6 Sedan can be had in either of the three engines, while the Touring version is only available with the bigger displacement petrol mill.
Entry level 2.0 Skyactiv-G Sedan starts at RM159, 158, while the top of the range 2016 Mazda 6 Touring 2.5 will set you back RM203,792. This Japanese D-segment sedan rivals the likes of Suzuki Kizashi, Kia Optima, Toyota Camry, Peugeot 508, Nissan Teana, Hyundai Sonata and Honda Accord.
Power the entry-level variant is a 2.0-litre in-line four-cylinder engine that has a maximum power output of 153hp at 6,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Fuel consumption figure for the car is a low 5.7l/100km.
The power output of the 2.5-litre Skyactiv mill in the range topper is rated at 185hp at 5,700rpm, and 250Nm of torque at 3,250rpm. The 2.2-litre Skyactiv-D on the other hand, has access to 175hp at 4,500rpm and 420Nm of torque, that is available from a low 2,000rpm.
Malaysian-market Mazda 6 range utilises the Japanese carmaker's SKYACTIV-Drive six-speed automatic transmission to transmit power to the front wheels.
