Volkswagen Golf Mk8

The Volkswagen Golf Mk8 was launched in Malaysia in 2022 and is the successor to the Volkswagen Golf Mk7. The Golf Mk8 was launched in three models - Golf GTI, Golf R and Golf R-Line. 

The Volkswagen Golf R-Line serves as the base model of the Golf series. The Volkswagen Golf R-Line exterior features R-Line design front bumper, C signature front air intakes in Gloss Black, rear bumper, radiator grille, side skirts, LED headlights, tail lights and illuminated strip, front and rear door handle lighting, integrated rear roof spoiler, chrome-effect trapezoid faux exhaust tailpipes and 17-inch wheels. The Volkswagen Golf 1.4 interior features R-Line black headliner, leather wrapped steering wheel, Carbon Grey trim, sport seats with Sardegna fabric upholstery, LED front footwell illumination, LED front and rear reading lights, manual height and lumbar adjustment, 60:40 rear seat split folding, ambient lighting and triple-zone electronic climate control. The Volkswagen Golf R-Line has since been discontinued.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI exterior features 18-inch Richmond alloy wheels, automatic headlights and wipers, electrically heated and adjustable side mirrors, LED headlights, daytime running lights and tail lights, sport suspension, integrated roof spoiler, twin chrome exhaust pipes and GTI styling while the Volkswagen Golf 2.0 interior features triple-zone electronic climate control, a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen, active climate front seats, ambient lighting, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, electric driver sport seat with lumbar adjustment, Vienna leather upholstery and multi-function leather sports steering wheel and GTI styling. The Volkswagen Golf GTI was updated in 2023 to include the IQ.Drive feature. The updated Golf GTI adds on LED fog lamps, advanced driver assistance and GTI logo on the seats. The Volkswagen Golf received additional updates in 2024, which featured the addition of a 10-speaker, 480-watt Harman Kardon sound system and a new heads-up display.

The Volkswagen Golf R exterior features 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, daytime running lights, tail lights and illuminated strip, sport suspension, integrated rear roof spoiler and R exterior styling. The Volkswagen Golf interior is similar as the other two models but adds on Nappa leather upholstery and R interior styling. The Volkswagen Golf R also received an update in 2023 to include the IQ.Drive. The updated Golf R adds on R Performance package, Drift and Special drive modes.
