Mercedes AMG G63

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class was launched in 2018 in a single version, the Mercedes-AMG G63. The new generation 63 AMG maintains its overall design and signature look but features significant upgrades and advancements in line with the current technology. The ladder-frame chassis is now made from high-strength steel while the bonnet, fenders and doors use aluminum which help to increase torsional rigidity and save weight. The G-Wagon maintains its previous signature exterior of bluff front end, round headlights, protection strips, upright windscreen and exterior spare wheel but the front suspension has been changed to double wishbones, has larger front air intakes, flared wheel arches and quad side-exit exhaust. The G-Wagon interior sports several upgrades such as a flatscreen panel with twin 12.3-inch display, turbine-style air vents, ambient lighting system, a flat-bottomed AMG Performance steering wheel, power adjust seats with memory, triple-zone automatic climate control and a sunroof but maintains certain classic features such as individual switches for the fully-locking differentials and a grab handle on the passenger-side dashboard. The G350d includes an AMG Line exterior and an AMG Night Package, which includes darkened treatment for indicators, reversing lamps and headlamps, and radiator grille louvers, spare wheel ring and bumper trim in obsidian black. The G350d also offers a Stainless Steel package which includes running boards along the sides, door sills and load sills guard at the rear in stainless steel. Other exterior features include multi-beam LED headlights, a sunroof and heated windscreen. Mercedes-Benz launched the limited ‘Stronger Than Time’ Edition in 2019 to celebrate 40 years of the iconic Gelandewagen and 20 years of the performance G-Class with three models - G400d, G500 and G63. All three editions receive the AMG Line trim which includes flared wheel arches, brake calipers with Mercedes-Benz lettering, AMG design elements and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The G500 also adds a special sports exhaust system. The G-Wagon is fitted with the Night Package as standard which includes special darkened lights and side mirrors, design elements in the bumpers in obsidian black and tinted rear windows. The alternative option is the Stainless Steel package which offers side running boards, spare wheel cover, door sills and loading sill at the rear a stainless steel finishing. Additional features of the limited edition models include the ‘Stronger Than Time’ badge on the passenger seat front grab handle and a special ‘Stronger Than Time’ LED projection. Mercedes-Benz launched the G500 Final Edition in 2023 to mark the end of the V8, non-AMG class wagon and is limited to 1,500 units. As per its intention, the G500 Final Edition maintains its 4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine which produces 416 hp and 610 Nm of torque. Features unique to the G500 Limited Edition include 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels in a five-twin-spoke design and high-sheen finishing and the G500 is available in three colours - Obsidian Black Metallic, Opalith White Magno and Olive Magno. Only 500 units of each colour is available, all of which includes the ‘Final Edition’ lettering and an embossed logo on the doorknobs. The ‘Final Edition’ wording can also be found on the illuminated door sills and the passenger front grab handles.
