2018 VW Polo Teased Ahead of World Premiere, Again

All set to make its global debut in just a few more days, Volkswagen has released a teaser image of the all-new 2018 Polo, giving a glimpse of how the car will look.

From what we can see here and in the pictures shared before, the exterior has gone through a significant amount of updates like new bumpers, lights, character lines, as well as new wheel design.

As we reported before, the 2018 Volkswagen Polo will be based on the MQB platform, replacing the outgoing PQ25 underpinnings. Thanks to the new architecture, dimensions are larger than its predecessor although weight may be 70 kg lighter.

Engine wise, we expect the entry-level versions of the new Polo to get a turbocharged 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine in 65hp, 75hp, 95hp and 115hp guises, replacing the current 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol mill. 

The interior is also said to have gone through a comprehensive revamp but no images have been revealed yet.
