GAC M8 PHEV officially priced from RM328,800 in Malaysia

Following its preview and opening of bookings earlier this month, the all-new GAC M8 PHEV has now been officially priced for the Malaysian market.

WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), the official distributor of GAC in Malaysia, has confirmed that the luxurious plug-in hybrid MPV will be offered in two variants, with prices starting from RM328,800 for the Premium and RM388,800 for the Luxury.

To celebrate its launch, customers who place their bookings before 31 December 2025 will receive two years of complimentary scheduled maintenance and a portable charging cable, together worth RM3,800.

Design-wise, the M8 PHEV continues to stand out with its distinctive “Lion-like” front fascia and “Awakening Eye” LED headlights, complemented by 18-inch alloy wheels with self-levelling wheel caps.

Inside, the cabin exudes refinement with semi-aniline leather upholstery, best-in-class sliding rails for the second and third rows, and advanced noise insulation that ensures a serene travel experience. Comfort is further elevated with Cool-Sense Technology, which delivers gentle, wind-free cooling throughout the cabin.

At the heart of the M8 PHEV is a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with a 2-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 372PS and 630Nm of torque. The MPV is said to offer an impressive driving range of up to 1,038km with its 25.57kWh battery and 56-litre fuel tank.

To enhance ride quality, the M8 PHEV features an Adaptive Vehicle Dynamics Control System and Electromagnetic Damping Suspension. Drivers can also choose between three intelligent driving modes: Intelligent Hybrid, All-Electricity First, and Power Preservation.

On the safety front, the M8 PHEV features GAC’s world-first rear windscreen airbag, forming part of a 360-degree airbag system, along with Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Full Automatic Parking Assist (FAPA).

All units are covered by a 5-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 150,000km battery warranty, whichever comes first.
