Utama Berita Berita Kereta Kia EV4, EV5 & PV5 confirmed for Malaysian debut at KLIMS 2026 Kia EV4, EV5 & PV5 confirmed for Malaysian debut at KLIMS 2026 Berita Kereta Amirul Kamaruddin https://www.carlist.my/ms/authors/100117/amirul-kamaruddin | June 08, 2026 04:42 PM After taking over the Kia franchise from Bermaz Auto’s Dinamikjaya Motor earlier this year, Kia Sales Malaysia (KSM) has wasted little time making its presence felt in the local market. Following the reshuffling of its product portfolio, which now consists of the Carnival, Sportage and EV9, the company will take centre stage at the upcoming Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026 to showcase what’s in store for the future. According to KSM, it will be displaying three new battery electric vehicle (BEV) models at the motor show, namely the EV4, EV5 and PV5. Starting with the EV4, it is based on the 400-volt E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) and made its global debut in February 2025 in both sedan and hatchback forms. However, the teaser image posted by Kia Malaysia suggests that we will only be seeing the hatchback version. In Australia, the EV4 is available with a 58.3 kWh battery pack in Standard Range (SR) guise, offering a WLTP-rated range of 456 km. The Long Range (LR) variant, meanwhile, gets a larger 81.4 kWh unit that extends range to 612 km. Both battery versions are paired with a front-mounted electric motor producing 204 PS and 283 Nm, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint of 7.4 seconds for the SR and 7.7 seconds for the LR. Both variants are capable of a top speed of 170 km/h. As for the EV5, the electric crossover is available with two LFP battery options: a 64.2 kWh unit offering up to 400 km of range, and a larger 88.1 kWh pack delivering between 470 km and 555 km, depending on variant, with the shorter range applying to the more powerful GT-Line. Notably, the EV5 supports both 400- and 800-volt charging architectures. With DC fast charging of up to 350 kW, the larger battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in around 38 minutes. Meanwhile, the PV5 is a versatile electric van available in both commercial and passenger-oriented configurations. From the teaser image, however, it appears that KSM will be showcasing the people-focused Passenger variant. In Europe, the PV5 Passenger is available with either a 51.5 kWh battery pack (SR) or a larger 71.2 kWh unit (LR), offering a WLTP-rated range of between 294 km and 412 km. Both versions use a single front-mounted electric motor with 250 Nm of torque, producing 122 PS in the SR and 163 PS in the LR. As for charging, both battery packs support DC charging of up to 150 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% recharge in less than 30 minutes. Beyond its EV offensive, KSM could also use KLIMS to preview the K4. Available in both sedan and hatchback forms, the K4 in Australia can be had with either a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder MPI engine producing 150 PS and 180 Nm, or a 1.6-litre turbocharged T-GDI unit making 193 PS and 265 Nm. The naturally aspirated engine is paired with a CVT, while the turbocharged variant gets an eight-speed automatic transmission. For now, KSM's local line-up comprises the following models: Sportage 2.0G 2WD - RM128,800 Sportage 2.0G 2WD Hi - RM138,800 Sportage 1.6T 2WD Hi - RM158,800 Sportage 1.6T AWD Hi - RM178,800 Carnival 2.2D 11-seater - RM188,888 Carnival 2.2D 8-seater - RM238,888 Carnival 2.2D 7-seater - RM248,888 ✕ Mari berhubung dengan Whatsapp Kami mematuhi Akta Pelindungan Data Peribadi untuk melindungi anda Saya bersetuju dengan Terma Penggunaan dan Polisi Privasi Carlist.my Saya bersetuju untuk menerima komunikasi yang diperibadikan daripada Carlist.my dan penjual kereta, ahli gabungan dan rakan kongsi perniagaannya.
