Locally assembled TQ Wuling Bingo BEV begins production in Malaysia, priced from RM67,800

TQ Wuling has reached a new milestone in Malaysia as the first locally assembled Bingo BEV officially rolls out of Tan Chong Group’s Segambut manufacturing plant.

Production will initially take place in phases, with output gradually scaled up in line with customer demand and the overall growth of Malaysia’s battery electric vehicle market. This measured approach is aimed at ensuring consistent build quality, efficient operations and a stable supply as local assembly gains momentum.

With local assembly now underway, Malaysian buyers can expect improved vehicle availability, shorter waiting times and stronger after-sales support. The move is also expected to enhance localisation while keeping pricing competitive within the entry-level BEV segment.

The TQ Wuling Bingo BEV, which made its Malaysian debut last month, is offered in two variants. The Bingo Pro carries an on-the-road price of RM67,800 without insurance, while the higher specification Bingo Max is priced at RM72,800.

Early adopters will benefit from the brand’s Fabulous 5 Perk programme, which is available to the first 500 customers and offers incentives worth up to RM12,000. These include a RM5,000 cash rebate, comprehensive battery and drive motor warranty coverage, monthly instalments starting from RM625, a complimentary 7kW home wallbox, a portable three-pin charging cable and additional ownership benefits.

With the rebate applied, effective pricing is reduced to RM62,800 for the Bingo Pro and RM67,800 for the Bingo Max.

Both variants share the same front-mounted electric motor producing 68PS and 150Nm of torque. The key difference lies in battery capacity, with the Pro featuring a 31.9kWh LFP battery that delivers up to 333km of driving range, while the Max is equipped with a larger 37.9kWh battery offering up to 410km. Both figures are rated under the CLTC cycle.

In terms of charging, the Bingo supports DC fast charging of up to 50kW, allowing the battery to be topped up from 30% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes. AC charging times are rated at around 4.5 hours for the Pro and 5.5 hours for the Max.

Buyers can choose from three exterior colours, namely Milky White, Neon Blue and Lavender Purple, all of which come paired with a contrasting black roof.
