Mercedes-Benz Malaysia bids farewell to the CLA 45 S in 2025 with RM539k Final Edition

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the AMG CLA 45 S 4Matic+ Final Edition, which was unveiled alongside the AMG CLE 53 Coupé at their AMG World Of Performance showcase at 1Uatama. Priced at RM538,888 on-the-road without insurance, the Final Edition marks the end of the hottest high-performance in its current form, before the next-generation CLA transitions into the fully electric era.

Compared to the facelifted CLA 45 S launched locally in October 2023 at RM527,888, the Final Edition commands an RM11,000 premium. The extra cost is justified by exclusive design features, notably the AMG Night Package II, which adds darkened styling cues such as black chrome grille struts and badges.

Buyers also gain access to two exterior colour exclusive to the Final Edition units of the CLA 45 S, specifically Manufaktur Alpine Grey solid and Manufaktur Patagonia Red metallic. Under the bonnet, the Final Edition retains the formidable, but unchanged hand-assembled M139 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, delivering 421 PS at 6,750 rpm and 500 Nm between 5,000–5,250 rpm.

Power is sent to all four wheels via the AMG Speedshift 8G dual-clutch transmission and 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. Performance also remains identical to the ‘standard’ model with a 0–100 km/h sprint of just 4.1 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 270 km/h.

The Final Edition also retains the same 19-inch AMG cross-spoke forged alloy wheels with 255/35R19 Continental SportContact 6 tyres, complemented by the AMG Night Package’s gloss black treatment for the front splitter, mirror housings, window line trim, and black chrome-plated exhaust tips.

Inside, the cabin too mirrors the standard CLA 45 S, featuring a combination Nappa leather and Microcut microfibre upholstery, with AMG Performance seats up front for enhanced support. As expected, safety and driver assistance tech is comprehensive, incorporating the Driving Assistance Package, which includes Active Distance Assist Distronic, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, and Active Parking Assist with a 360-degree camera. Buyers also benefit from Guard 360 Vehicle Protection Plus.

The CLA45S Final Edition is backed by a 4-year, unlimited mileage warranty, ensuring peace of mind for owners. As the last combustion-powered performance CLA before electrification sadly takes over, this model represents both a collector’s opportunity and a swan song for AMG’s celebrated turbocharged four-cylinder.
