Photos of next-generation Toyota C-HR revealed prior to debut!

Early Images of the next-gen Toyota C-HR have been leaked online, and we like what we're looking at!

The highly anticipated second-generation Toyota C-HR is set to make its official debut on June 26, but leaked images have surfaced, giving us a glimpse of what's to come. Shared on CocheSpias, a Spanish automotive site, the production model pleasingly resembles last year's eye-catching C-HR Prologue concept, designed in Europe.

From the images, it's clear that the interior of the 2024 C-HR is sporting a modern and sporty design. With a large, tablet-style infotainment touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and a driver-focused centre stack, this sporty SUV looks like it aims to please.

The interior exudes a sense of flair with ambient lighting, round air vents, and a bold red accent on the transmission shifter. Compared to its counterpart, the Corolla Cross, the C-HR's cabin takes the lead in sportiness and driver-centric design.

As for the exterior, the new C-HR if manufactured like the pictures will remain true to the Prologue concept's style. Notable changes include the integration of flush rear door handles and an illuminated Toyota C-HR wordmark between the tail lights.

The updated design bears a resemblance to the latest Prius, and it's worth mentioning that the new C-HR, according to CarExpert will be exclusively hybrid, for the Australian market, helping them of reach 50% sales of electrified vehicles by 2025.

Overseas markets on the hand will have access to a plug-in hybrid option, but since Toyota has never offered PHEVs in Malaysia, we would probably have the same car as the Aussies, if UMW decides to introduce it here.

However, the C-HR is expected to feature the same TNGA-C platform and a similar powertrain lineup to the new Prius, offering hybrid options with a 140 PS 1.8-litre and 196 PS 2.0-litre engines, so we're unsure which one we'll be getting if we get it.

Traditionally, Malaysian models were imported from Thailand, which means we would have to closely see what will be offered there, if we are to get it. The C-HR previously offered in Malaysia had a sticker price of RM150k, but that was for a pure ice variant and since it's all electrified now, it'll definitely have a larger price tag.

Stay tuned for the official unveiling of the second-generation Toyota C-HR as this is exciting times for fans of this stylish and eco-friendly SUV!
