This car was bought right after proton's announcement of commitment towards higher quality and reliability standards. But boy did I felt for it. Steering rack issue causing lockup during first year of ownership followed by electronic issues eg; sensors, alarm sometimes work sometimes dont. This combined with the famous issue of water leaking into the car during rain due to bad door design. So many bad things about this car and I had to live with it untill now. Sad case as proton could've gone far. Car handles like a champ on tight corners. The car comes with a factory installed rollbar, how neat is that! I bought the manual variant so power was good especially at higher revs. The car's power only comes kicking after the 3k rev. Lower gears of the car are sluggish. So stop to speed acceleration is quite bad compared to more instant acceleration of rivals in its price range ie. Myvi. Stopping power is also very good due to the 4 disc brakes. Part of me are happy I got this car, especially on bright and sunny days where the car doesnt cause problems. I was impressed with the car reliability as i read so many bad review about the brand and the model as well. Surprisingly, it still 'tahan'! The main point here-you just need to service your car regularly,use original part and NEVER EVER 'overuse' your car (you drove like Hamilton while driving a Persona? NO!!) Of course, there is no such thing as PERFECTION (Even Lamborghini got a complaint!) The NVH and under-power engine is the common thing but hey! you are paying for Persona,not a continental brand! Lets enjoy it while waiting for X50! :-) Kurang
