The previous generation Volvo XC60 was one of the earliest cars to offer autonomous emergency braking (AEB). For the current generation, the XC60 is now able to autonomously maneuver itself out of a potential accident.In this walkaround video by Hans Nilsson, senior project manager for the Volvo XC60, he shows us various details of the new XC60. Dimension wise, the new 2017 Volvo XC60 is 4688 mm long, 1658 mm tall and 1902 mm wide. Thanks to its SPA platform underpinnings, the new Volvo XC60 is 44 mm longer and 11 mm wider than its predecessor, yet sits closer to the ground that the model it replaces. Globally, Volvo offers three trim levels for the 2017 XC60, Momentum, R-Design and Inscription. Similar to all modern Volvo models, the front headlights are full LED, with the signature Thor hammer completing the looks up front. The tail lights are also LED-illuminated. Volvo also mentioned that buyers can opt for wheel sizes between 18 to 22 inches. Trim levels aside, Volvo also said that the 2017 XC60 is available with three chassis tune, Standard, Sport and Air Suspension. The latter can be lowered by 2 inches to allow for easier cargo loading and unloading. The interior of the 2017 Volvo XC60 continues their premium Swedish trend, with design elements plucked from the bigger XC90.
