Banting Star Opens First Honda 3S Centre In Banting, Selangor

Honda Malaysia today officially opened its latest Honda 3S Centre in the Central region. Located in the fast-developing area of Banting, the 3S Centre by Banting Star Sdn. Bhd. (Banting Star) is the first Honda 3S Centre in the area. The opening of this new 3S Centre is in line with the company’s focus to provide more convenience to customers beyond urban areas.

The opening of Banting Star Honda 3S Centre is also timely to support the increased after-sales intake, which resulted from Honda’s escalated sales in the past few years. In the period from January to March 2018, the total service intake in Central region stood at more than 148,100 units, a 10 per cent increase compared to the same period last year.

During the same period, Honda recorded a stable sales performance with 24,182 units sold. This result has maintained Honda’s position as the No.1 car brand in Non-National segment and No. 2 in the overall TIV, behind Perodua. Honda City is the most popular model in the state of Selangor during this period.

Banting Star Sdn. Bhd. has invested RM15 million into the development of 23,250 square feet facility along Jalan Klang Banting, Telok Panglima Garang, Selangor. Its professional technicians and latest equipment are capable of handling up to 44 cars per day.

At the workshop section, a total 16 work bays consists of 11 service bays, three bays for general repairs and two tyre service bays.  A comfortable Customer Lounge greets owners and customers, together with an Executive Lounge, Kid’s Corner, a Surau as well as a variety of food and beverages. In addition, Banting Star 3S also offers road tax renewal and insurance coverage for its customers.      

In the effort to heighten customer satisfaction this year, the company has introduced express dealerships to widen after-sales service support by offering fast service within 90 minutes. Honda is also ensuring that all its technicians are well trained in order to deliver consistently high quality service for customers.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Toichi Ishiyama, MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia also mentioned that Honda Malaysia will be introducing an online platform for after-sales service to provide better convenience to owners. Set to go live later this year, the Customer’s Virtual Touchpoint portal can provide service appointment bookings, vehicle progress status tracking, service history, and product updates.

With the opening of Banting Star 3S Centre, Honda Malaysia now has 96 dealers nationwide, consisting of 85 3S dealers, three 1S dealers and the balance are 2S dealers. There are 19 body and paint centres (BP) that professionally provide restoration work of Honda vehicles post-collision.

Honda Malaysia plans to have a total of 100 dealerships by the end of 2018.
