The Ford Ranger has just gotten a bit more expensive. Recently obtained copies Sime Darby Auto Connexion’s official price list show a price increase of RM2,350 across the board for all 2.2 and 3.2 XLT and Wildtrak variants of Ford’s best-selling pick-up truck.
Fine print on the price list further confirms that the revised prices take effect on vehicles booked and registered from 1 July onwards. No price revision has been announced for the base 2.2 XL model, which retails for RM91,588 on-the-road excluding insurance.
| Previous Price | Current Price |
2.2 XL M/T | RM91,588 | RM91,588 |
2.2 XLT M/T | RM102,268 | RM104,618 |
2.2 XLT A/T | RM109,688 | RM112,038 |
3.2 XLT M/T | RM111,808 | RM114,158 |
3.2 XLT A/T | RM119,238 | RM121,588 |
3.2 Wildtrak A/T | RM137,488 | RM139,838 |
Available in Malaysia since 2012, the current-generation Ranger T6 received a major facelift last year. This latest revision in pricing comes merely two months after an earlier price hike announced only in May. At the time, Ford cushioned the blow by making reverse camera standard for all XLT variants and threw in an extended warranty package.
