Malaysia vs. Liverpool FC Happens This Friday: You May Want To Take The Train

Either if you’re headed to the match yourselves, or if you’re simply planning on driving by the Bukit Jalil National Stadium for whatever reason this coming Friday, do keep in mind that Liverpool FC are in town, and will be taking on a Malaysia XI team that night (24th, July 2015).

Yes, traffic is expected to be in full swing, with parking set to be another headache for motorist to consider, around the national stadium.

The best advice then, says Rapid Rail, is to utilise the LRT and Monorail services.

The match is expected to end at roughly 11pm, and it has been confirmed that the LRT Station at Bukit Jalil will extend its operating hours to 12am (midnight) and maybe beyond to accommodate the travelling footy fans.

“Whatever it is, we will extend our services on the Ampang LRT line to make sure everyone gets to use the service and get back safely,” said Ahmad Nizam Mohd Amin, CEO of Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.

Liverpool FC are expected to field a line-up that includes:

  • Jordan Henderson
  • Simon Mignolet
  • Martin Skrtel
  • Fernando C‎outinho
  • Daniel Sturridge
  • Danny Ings
  • James Milner

Strangely, the media release we received from MyRapid shows that the ‘Malaysian’ XI team is likely to feature:

  • Chad Souza
  • Dramane Traore
  • Thiago Junior
  • Zah Rahan Krangar
  • Vincent Bikana

Now, we don’t claim to know too much about football, nor what the local competitions are like, but that doesn’t sound to us like too many Malaysian footballers are invovled here, aren't they?

Either way, you’ve been warned and advised to get on the Ampang line LRT, make your stops at the LRT Bukit Jalil, and walk over to the stadium to avoid traffic. Don’t forget your MyRapid or Touch ‘n Go cards either.
