The New South Wales police force in Australia has just secured the services of an Audi RS 4 Avant.
Now, you’d imagine that any police force enlisting the help of a 445hp, 430Nm of torque vehicle would have chasing down high-speed baddies in mind, but that isn’t quite what the mighty RS4 is purposed for.
“Youth engagement activities,” is what they’re seemingly more interested in, with Superintendent Wayne Starling, Commander of Lake Illawarra LAC saying that, “The Audi RS 4 provides an exciting and visible platform for our community and youth engagement activities. Our use of the RS 4 will encourage people of all ages to introduce themselves to local police, using the car itself to help start up a conversation.”
Audi Australia has been kind enough to loan the vehicle to the police force for a duration of 12 months.
It’s a great cause for sure. But where police “youth engagement” matters, I think the Abu Dhabi and Dubai police forces knows how to do it a little bit better, utilising these world-beating monsters.
