Berita Kereta Amirul Kamaruddin https://www.carlist.my/ms/authors/100117/amirul-kamaruddin | May 29, 2026 11:45 AM A new Ford model is set to be launched in Malaysia, as revealed by Ford Malaysia on its official social media channels. The caption reads: “Arriving at XOX Arena, The Arch Galeries, KL from 5–7 June.” While no concrete information was revealed in the post, the accompanying teaser images do provide fairly clear clues as to what’s coming. Although the vehicle’s silhouette is darkened in the image, the illuminated taillights are clearly those of the Everest. Currently, four variants are already sold locally: Sport, Trend, Titanium, and Wildtrak. Exactly what this upcoming variant will be remains unconfirmed, but the “A new peak of luxury is coming” caption points heavily towards a luxury-focused offering, which could very well be the Platinum. This would make sense, as the Platinum variant is also offered on the Ranger, the pickup truck that shares its platform with the Everest. Launched in 2023, the Ranger Platinum sets itself apart with new 20-inch wheels, Matrix LED headlights, a flexible rack system, unique ‘swing-in-place’ roof rails, a powered roller shutter, quilted leather accents, heated and ventilated front seats, a 12.4-inch instrument cluster, a 12-inch infotainment screen, Bang & Olufsen speakers, ambient lighting, and Active Park Assist 2.0. With this, expect the Everest Platinum to offer a similar, if not identical, level of additional equipment, with the obvious exception of the rack system and the powered roller shutter. As for what’s under the bonnet, it is likely that the Platinum will carry over the same 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel engine found in the Trend, Titanium, and Wildtrak. The engine produces a healthy 210 PS and 500 Nm of torque, sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and a part-time 4WD system. On the pricing front, the host of additional features will almost certainly command a significant premium. For reference, the current Everest variants are priced as follows: Everest Sport: RM266,388 Everest Trend: RM281,888 Everest Titanium: RM313,888 Everest Wildtrak: RM338,888 ✕ Mari berhubung dengan Whatsapp Kami mematuhi Akta Pelindungan Data Peribadi untuk melindungi anda Saya bersetuju dengan Terma Penggunaan dan Polisi Privasi Carlist.my Saya bersetuju untuk menerima komunikasi yang diperibadikan daripada Carlist.my dan penjual kereta, ahli gabungan dan rakan kongsi perniagaannya.
