Previewed here in Malaysia just last month with an expected price of RM120,000, it has now dropped to RM110,000 as it enters the final phase before the official launch. This new expected price was also announced together with a 'Super Early Bird' package worth RM8,888 when you place a booking now. This reward entails: 1st-year insurance worth RM3,000 Accessories Trio worth RM2,000 CNY "Angpow" Rebate worth RM3,888 The 'Accessories Trio' includes a car subwoofer, a wireless karaoke microphone, and a multi-functional flashlight. This new expected price will be crucial to go into a very competitive segment that includes the likes of the Honda HR-V, Proton X50, and the Chery Tiggo Cross, to name a few. The Proton X50 Flagship, in particular, is priced at RM113,300. The J5 is fitted with a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that churns out 147 PS and 210 Nm of torque. Mated to a CVT transmission, all of its power is transferred down to the front wheels. The Jaecoo J5 will be a part of the brand's first phase launches of 2026, which also includes the Omoda C9 PHEV, which is expected to be priced at RM220,000. With over 25,000 units sold so far in Malaysia, Omoda | Jaecoo Malaysia has big plans to introduce six new models this year.
