The all-electric Polestar 2 is set to be unveiled sooner than expected.
The short piece of information was accompanied by a lone teaser image of the rear design of Polestar 2 (above), which does not shed more information after the initial tease about 6 weeks ago (below).
Polestar, who is basically Volvo’s in-house performance arm, has chosen to unveil the new vehicle from its headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden, in digital format to reduce the carbon footprint.
Livestream will begin on Wednesday, 27th February at 8:00 pm (KL time) on both the Polestar website and its YouTube channel.
Right after the unveiling, Polestar will have a public showcase of the vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show 2019.
This is the second vehicle from the performance and advanced technologies-oriented brand. The Polestar 1 that was unveiled in late 2017 is a sleek two-door coupe that promises a combined system output of 600 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque from its petrol-electric powertrain.
Production of the Polestar 1 will commence at the new purpose-built Polestar Production Centre in Chengdu, China for deliveries slated from the middle of the year.
