Living in a condo but want a BEV? Proton e.Mas now offers charging access at over 500 high-rise residences

One of the biggest concerns among potential BEV buyers living in condominiums and high-rise apartments is simple: where do you charge your car if you do not have your own home charger?

To address this challenge, Proton e.Mas has expanded its residential charging ecosystem, offering access to more than 1,500 charging points across over 500 participating condominiums and high-rise residences nationwide.

The expansion aims to make BEV ownership more accessible for urban drivers, particularly those living in non-landed properties where installing a private home charger may not always be possible.

Available across key urban areas including Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, as well as regions such as Penang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak, the network allows Proton e.Mas owners to charge their vehicles closer to home without relying entirely on public charging stations.

Through the Proton e.Mas App, owners living in participating condominiums can enjoy residential charging rates from RM0.63/kWh, with the special e.Mas owner rate is available until 31 December 2026.

Beyond simply providing charging access, Proton e.Mas is also integrating the charging experience into a single platform through its app. Owners can locate available charging points, activate charging sessions and manage payments without needing multiple third-party applications.

To use condominium charging, owners simply need to open the Proton e.Mas App, access the Charging Map function, select their preferred charging station, choose the correct connector based on the label displayed on the charger, complete the pre-authorisation process and begin charging.

Proton e.Mas owners and interested users can check charging availability or register interest for future charging infrastructure through the Proton e.Mas platform.
