Being the brand's first-ever BEV, it's currently available in limited numbers during the initial introduction and priced from RM188,000 (on-the-road without insurance). Built on Suzuki's new Heartect-e platform that's developed specifically for BEVs, the e Vitara adopts what Suzuki calls a "High-Tech & Adventure" design language. Its exterior combines a bold SUV stance with muscular wheel arches, a distinctive front fascia featuring a unique hexagonal design, signature three-point matrix lighting elements, and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 225/55 tyres. Dimensionally, the e-Vitara measures 4,275 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall, while its 2,700 mm wheelbase promises generous cabin space. For cargo at the back, this electric SUV offers up to 306 litres of boot space. Inside, the dashboard features an Integrated Display System that combines the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch central infotainment display into one seamless unit. The cabin is further enhanced with Melange jersey upholstery, perforated synthetic leather, brown synthetic leather trim, piano black accents, and dark silver finishes. Other key interior features include a two-spoke 'squircle' steering wheel, floating centre console with shift-by-wire controls, wireless Qi smartphone charger, several USB charging ports for both front and rear passengers, plus many more. Powering the e Vitara is Suzuki's newly developed eAxle electric drive system that integrates the motor, inverter and reduction gear into one compact unit. The front-wheel-drive setup is paired with a 61 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, producing 128 kW (172 PS) and 193 Nm of torque. Drivers can also choose between Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes. Suzuki claims a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 426 km on a full charge. Using a DC fast charger (supports up to 67kW), the battery can be replenished from 10% - 80% in 45 minutes. For AC? 10-100% in 9 hours if you're connected to a 7kW charger. On the safety front, the e-Vitara comes equipped with a host of ADAS features, such as Dual Sensor Brake Support II, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Prevention, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Adaptive High Beam System, just to name a few.
