2025 Lamborghini Temerario now in Malaysia - Huracan successor boasts 10k RPM bi-turbo V8, 920PS, 3 e-motors from RM1.35M

Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur has officially unveiled its latest high-performance model, the Temerario, marking the brand’s second plug-in hybrid supercar after the V12-powered Revuelto.

More than just a replacement for the Huracán, the Temerario symbolises the Sant’Agata firm’s commitment to electrification in high performance cars, for better or worse. There’s plenty to get into with regard to how it goes about carrying the torch of its V10 forebear, so let’s get into it. First of all, it’s priced from RM1.35 Million, which might sound reasonable for stupid-quick Lambo, but that figure is before any taxes, duties, or options.

All told, if not purchased in Langkawi or Labuan, the final price could easily balloon past RM3 million mark. The Temerario, sits at the cutting edge of the brand’s somewhat contentious hybrid strategy. Replacing the Huracán after an impressive 11-year run, it brings with it a new level of technological sophistication and electrified fury.

Visually, the Temerario embraces Lamborghini’s obsession with the hexagon. This angular motif is found in the daytime running lights, wing mirrors, window shapes, tailpipes, taillights, and even the fuel filler and charge port doors. The design is unmistakably Lamborghini, with a low-slung stance, a tapered glasshouse, and a continuous shoulder line reminiscent of the Gallardo.

The Temerario is equipped with 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, and buyers can choose between cast alloy, forged, or carbon fibre wheels in multiple finishes. The car comes standard with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tyres, sized 255/35 front and 325/30 rear, ensuring grip matches the power.

Unlike the Revuelto's V12 powerplant, the Temerario is driven by an all-new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8—codenamed L411—which delivers an astounding 800 PS between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm, along with 730 Nm of torque from 4,000 to 7,000 rpm. Capable of revving up to a staggering 10,000 rpm, it surpasses even Ferrari and Porsche's naturally aspirated benchmarks, delivering sensational top-end performance.

Complementing the V8 are a total of 3 electric motors. One is located at the rear, sandwiched between the engine and Lamborghini’s new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, and delivers 300 Nm. The two front-mounted motors contribute torque vectoring to the front axle, pushing out a combined 299 PS and 2,150 Nm, though continuous power output is rated at just 82 PS.

All together, the hybrid system churns out a total of 920 PS, propelling the Temerario from 0–100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 343 km/h — serious numbers for a new-generation hybrid Lamborghini.

Powering the motors is a 3.8 kWh battery that’s cleverly integrated into the chassis spine for optimal weight distribution and a low centre of gravity. The battery supports AC charging up to 7 kW, enabling a full recharge in roughly 30 minutes. The two front motors can even power the car in electric-only (and FWD) mode, delivering up to 190 PS, making low-speed emissions-free driving possible when desired

The hybrid system is controlled via three powertrain modes – Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance, each of which interacts with five distinct drive modes: Città (city), Strada (street), Sport, Corsa (track), and Corsa Plus with all driver aids disabled. Also available are launch control and a 4-level Drift Mode, giving drivers the tools to fine-tune their sideways experience.

Despite going hybrid, Lamborghini hasn’t abandoned its signature sound. The V8 is paired with a specially-tuned active exhaust system, featuring a cross-bank setup and a sound symposer that pipes engine notes directly into the cabin, ensuring drivers still get the full drama and theatre of a Lamborghini experience.

Aerodynamically, the Temerario has been meticulously sculpted. The roof features a central channel that, along with the sleek glasshouse and strategically placed fins and scoops, funnels air towards the fixed rear wing. A massive rear diffuser and various hidden deflectors enhance airflow management. These design choices contribute to a 103% increase in rear downforce compared to the Huracán.

Opt for the Alleggerita pack, and downforce jumps even further – by 158% – thanks to carbon fibre aero elements, including a front splitter, side skirts, rear engine cover, underbody panels, and a more aggressive rear wing.

Much like the exterior, the cabin, too, reflects the same sharp-edged design philosophy, blending digital sophistication with motorsport functionality. Borrowing from the Revuelto, the interior features a Y-shaped centre console, hexagonal air vents, and three digital displays: a 12.3-inch driver display, an 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, and a 9.1-inch passenger-side display. Connectivity comes via wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the cabin audio experience is powered by a premium Sonus Faber sound system.

New to the Temerario is the Lamborghini Vision Unit—a 3-camera system that records footage from the front exterior, interior cabin, and even the occupants. It functions not only as an advanced dashcam but also allows drivers to record up to two minutes of on-road or track driving using the Memories Recorder.

The new spaceframe chassis translates into a noticeably roomier interior, offering better headroom and legroom than before and accommodating occupants up to 200 cm tall. Buyers can choose from leather or Corsatex microfibre upholstery, with extensive carbon fibre interior trim options available.

Seats come in two flavors: power-adjustable comfort seats with heating and ventilation or lightweight carbon bucket seats. Additional rotary controllers handle drive modes and Drift Mode adjustments, putting everything within easy reach of the driver.

The display car at the Malaysian launch, which was a left-hand driver unit, was shown in a matte Blu Marinus finish, one of two new launch-exclusive shades – the other being Verde Mercurius, a vibrant green. Lamborghini’s Ad Personam programme ensures that buyers have access to over 400 exterior colours, making each Temerario potentially unique.
