More than just a replacement for the Huracán, the Temerario symbolises the Sant’Agata firm’s commitment to electrification in high performance cars, for better or worse. There’s plenty to get into with regard to how it goes about carrying the torch of its V10 forebear, so let’s get into it. First of all, it’s priced from RM1.35 Million, which might sound reasonable for stupid-quick Lambo, but that figure is before any taxes, duties, or options. All told, if not purchased in Langkawi or Labuan, the final price could easily balloon past RM3 million mark. The Temerario, sits at the cutting edge of the brand’s somewhat contentious hybrid strategy. Complementing the V8 are a total of 3 electric motors. One is located at the rear, sandwiched between the engine and Lamborghini’s new 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, and delivers 300 Nm. The two front-mounted motors contribute torque vectoring to the front axle, pushing out a combined 299 PS and 2,150 Nm, though continuous power output is rated at just 82 PS. All together, the hybrid system churns out a total of 920 PS, propelling the Temerario from 0–100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of 343 km/h — serious numbers for a new-generation hybrid Lamborghini. Powering the motors is a 3.8 kWh battery that’s cleverly integrated into the chassis spine for optimal weight distribution and a low centre of gravity. Connectivity comes via wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the cabin audio experience is powered by a premium Sonus Faber sound system. New to the Temerario is the Lamborghini Vision Unit—a 3-camera system that records footage from the front exterior, interior cabin, and even the occupants.
