MAS 2025: Jetour VT9 launched in Malaysia, 2 variants available price starts at RM118k set to compete against Proton X90, Mazda CX-8 & Nissan X-Trail


Hot on the heels of its recently launched Dashing SUV. Jetour, the rapidly-expanding Chinese automaker, is gearing up for its next foray into the Malaysian market, with the launch of its Jetour VT9. 

The Jetour VT9 is a 7-seater D-segment SUV that made its first local appearance at the Malaysia Autoshow and is available in two variants, which are Comfort, priced at RM118,800, and Prime, at RM123,800.


The Comfort variant includes features such as LED auto headlamps, sporty red exterior trim, 19-inch alloy wheels, perforated leather seats, ambient lighting, and 50W wireless charging. 

 

Meanwhile, the Prime variant adds premium enhancements such as a panoramic sunroof, 6-speaker system, memory seats, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and a full suite of safety systems including BSD, RCTA, LCW, and DOW. Both variants are available in Star Black, Khaki White, Phantom Grey, Tech Grey, and Aurora Green.


The model stakes its claim in the SUV segment with imposing dimensions: measuring 4,724mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,729mm in height, with a commanding 2,720mm wheelbase. These figures translate to an impressive interior volume, culminating in a generous cargo capacity that boasts a cavernous 1680 liters of storage space in the boot with all seats in place.


Exterior- wise, the Jetour VT9 asserts its dominance from the outset with a muscular, aggressive front fascia, headlined by a bold octagonal grille accented by a pair of razor-sharp LED headlights and sleek LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Along the sides, chrome accents adorn the windows, exuding a sense of sophistication, while rugged dual-tone alloy wheels ensure that the VT9 is as prepared to tackle the rugged outdoors as it is the urban landscape.

Inside the cabin features a high-quality materials with advanced technology includes: 

-10.25 instrument cluster and infotainment unit supporting intelligent voice command system 
-Multifunctional steering wheel 
-Wireless smartphone charging tray 
-Leather seats, central armrest with cooling and heating functionality
-Power-adjustable driver seat 
-Ambient lighting 
-Cruise control 
-Panoramic sunroof 

Safety remains paramount in Jetour's VT9 SUV, which comes equipped with a veritable armada of advanced features that ensure passenger security from every conceivable angle.

From the standard six airbags to the sophisticated Roll Movement Intervention System, Hydraulic Brake Assist System, and 360° Panoramic View Parking Assist, the VT9 ensures peace of mind for its occupants at every step of the journey.

Following the trailblazing trajectory of the Dashing, Jetour's VT9 is expected to be initially introduced in Malaysia as a fully imported CBU model. This enables the Chinese automaker to establish a solid foothold in the local market while exploring potential local production opportunities for the SUV.
