2021 Volvo S90 T8 Recharge Launched - RM339,315

Volvo Car Malaysia today revealed the 2021 Volvo S90 T8 Recharge sedan. Equipped with Volvo's Drive-E powertrain, the 2021 S90 will now output 407 hp and 640 Nm of torque bringing its top-line numbers identical to its S60 sibling. 

Built on the SPA platform that has underpinned releases from the 60 and 90 series from the last few years, this S90 facelift carries on with Volvo's signature looks from the “Thor Hammer” LED headlight design, vertical chrome grille with the Volvo Iron Mark, Orrefors crystal shift knob, the updated rear tail lamps on the S90 have also been updated to bear resemblance to the recently launched S60 T8 R-Design. 

Connectivity in the shape of the 9-inch Sensus panel ensures the driver is always connected on the go. Two USB ports in the front support both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. If you thought 14 speakers (from the previous S90) were fancy then the 19 speakers upgraded Bowers & Wilkins setup in the 2021 Volvo S90 will provide you with aural pleasure like none other. The signature Tweeter-on-Top speaker is seamlessly integrated into the design contours of the S90 T8 Recharge and sits just above the dashboard. We will be looking to test the different room modes available on the S90. Will it be able to transport you to the Gothenburg Concert Hall or to a Swedish theatre? We'll have to wait to find out. 

With a chassis made out of boron steel for added body strength, the 2021 Volvo S90 will come packed full of Volvo's list of safety features such as the Blind Spot Information Systems (BLIS), City Safety, Cross-Traffic Alert, Front and Rear Warning and Mitigation Support, Lane Keeping Aid, Pilot Assist, a 180km/h speed cap and many more.

Priced at RM358,888, the 2021 S90 will be available for RM339,315 (on-the-road, without insurance) with the Sales Tax exemption until June 31, 2021. The T5 variant, now priced at RM328,888 (before the Sales Tax exemption) will be available only from June 2021 onwards. Viewings for the 2021 S90 T8 Recharge is available from today at all authorised Volvo dealers nationwide.
