Sprint Highway Sees 18 Hour Road Closure On Sunday, September 6

Those that will be commuting along the Spring Highway in Kuala Lumpur should take note that on Sunday, September 6th, there will be an 18 hour road closure from 12am to 6pm.

The closure will occur at KM3.6 which is in front o f Phileo Damansara and Eastin Hotel, as reported by Bernama, to facilitate construction work for the MRT station entrance link bridge, according to MMC Gamuda KVMRT deputy director Adil Putra.

“This total closure is necessary as we need a safe working space to cater our heavy machineries that are needed for the installation works,” said Adil at a press conference.

He added that during the closure, motorists that are heading in the direction of Kuala Lumpur from Petaling Jaya, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Bandar Utama, or from the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) would need to make a U-turn and left into Jalan Tan Sew Pow, back onto the Sprint Highway then turn into Jalan 17/21.

They would have the option of turning left into Jalan 17/21 or to join Jalan Universiti before joining Jalan Dato’ Abu Bakar in order to resume their journey along the Sprint towards KL.

Motorists driving on the Sprint from Kuala Lumpur toward Petaling Jaya, TTDI, or the NKVE, however, would be able to turn into Jalan Dato’ Abu Bakar, turn right into Jalan 16/16 before turning right again onto Jalan 17/1 in order to continue on their journey.

During the closure duration, the appropriate traffic signage will be erected to alert road users of the diversion. Additionally, flagmen and police traffic personnel will be posted in the surrounding areas to ensure smooth flowing.

There's just something about cars. It's a conveyance, it's a liability, it's a tool; but it can also be a source of joy, pride, inspiration and passion. It's much like clothes versus fashion. And like the latter, the pursuit of perfection never ends.
